When I think about it… SpeakLifeToday was probably a God idea way before I knew of it. Why do I say that?.
Well, I’m really glad you asked…
But first, let me let you in on a little personal experience and afterward you might be compelled to agree with me.
This experience goes back many years… I mean as far back as 1996.
In 1996 while cleaning myself up from work one hot spring day… I heard the Lord God speak these words to me.
“Felton, do you remember where it says that my word will not return to me void?”
I answered in my spirit to him with… “Yes.”
Then I heard God speak into my spirit these words… “Felton you are my son and you are made in my image. Therefore your words will not return to you void either.”
Just as I believed it then, I still believe it today.
I believe when we hear God speak to us in that way, not only is it something that we can’t forget. But I believe that he also imparts in us the ability and anointing to do what he says to us.
Why do I say that?
Well, I say it with respect to myself because of every since the day I heard it… God has given me the ability to keep my mouth in agreement with what he says.
For the most part that is…I mess up sometimes though.
I’ve also since hearing those words notice just how much our Heavenly Father talks to us about keeping our tongue right.
We find this great exhortation throughout the Bible’s Old and New Testament alike.
I’m a strong believer that what God has spoken to us in his word is the unadulterated truth.
I also believe that when Jesus told us that we will have what we say, is just as true as you are reading this.
Not that I’m speaking of the “name it and claim it thing” that a lot of us got misled by in the past.
But I’m talking about staying in agreement with God and also as the scriptures tell us the let our speech be always with grace seasoned with salt.
That we may know how to answer every man, woman. boy or girl under the sun.
Here’s an Old Testament scripture that jumped off the page one day I was reading Isaiah.
“The Lord has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary.” Isaiah 50:4
Wow! That’s a powerful word and that’s truly the heart of SpeakLifeToday.
My desire is that through the sharing of what God has put on my heart it will bring you comfort, peace, understanding and encouragement and the courage to say what’s good and right.
Death and Life are in the power of the tongue… Therefore, Speak Life Today.
